Cucu Mary (Cucu is a Kikuyu term of affection that means “grandmother” and is pronounced like “show show”) is a wise lady who has been providing leadership for the h.o.w? women by giving advice. She gave birth to eight children and one died. Mary had been living in Naivasha where she could access medical services for arthritis more easily as compared to staying in Kinangop.
