Working to help empower women, save children and fight poverty in Kenya, we are transformed and inspired by the people we meet. These are our stories.
The Lord is clearly at the center of these women’s hearts, minds, and souls. He’s doing beautiful things in Kinangop, through h.o.w? and through these astounding women of faith.
A good way to describe today is that we laughed a lot, learned a lot, and praised the Lord. The joy from the widows truly is incredible, and it is a blessing to see how the Lord shines through each and every one of them.
This year will be the 5th Annual Arise Conference held at the Women’s Empowerment Center that we built and dedicated last year. They are receiving more training on basket making and spinning wool.
The last few days have been fun trying to take in as much as possible. I am glad we are here with the team. The children were so fun to be with. I really like Kenya.
God’s majesty was everywhere: The team bonding, the beautiful landscape, and the amazing animals. Today was truly a day where the Lord showed us how mighty He is.
Today was nothing short of miraculous. Seeing creation in its most natural form is like nothing else on earth.
Today gave us the opportunity to witness so much of the Lord’s beautiful creation, His wildlife and His children.
There is nothing more contagious than the zeal for life these children have, and I could not be more thankful that I get to witness it.
A beautiful day with exceptional children, lunch and a tour of a women’s workshop, then back to Children’s Garden
Our team of 12 deals with missing luggage, gets a warm welcome at Children’s Garden, and helps make 200+ rounds of chapati.
Stop by to meet and greet David Kariuki, husband of our in-country coordinator, Keziah, at our 2018 Christmas Open House, as we raise funds to help build them a home on h.o.w? Ministry land in Naivasha.
We kicked off 2018 with our 4th Arise Women’s Conference in January with the dedication of our new Women’s Empowerment Center in Kinangop, where we learned about sheep, wool production and weaving, but we had to postpone our June mission trip.
