Day 7 - NAIVASHA
Today we started the day with a morning drive out the Masai Mara. All packed and ready to head to Naivasha, we cruised around the Mara one last time and saw a lot of giraffes and lions! It is truly amazing to see all of God’s creatures in such an amazing, breathtaking place like the Masai Mara. As Kelley would say, “This is where God created the heavens and the earth.”
We all had an amazing weekend and a much-needed rest period before we travel to Naivasha and visit the widows tomorrow morning.
As soon as we arrived in Naivasha, we went on a boat safari around Lake Naivasha, where they filmed Out of Africa, and we saw hippos, eagles, and even a giraffe on the bank of the lake. Our tour guide took us right up to where the hippos were in the water. It was unbelievable.
We had to cut the boat ride a little short due to an approaching storm, but we all still very much enjoyed what we got to see around the lake in what little time we had.
We left Lake Naivasha, checked into our hotel, and went straight to a team favorite, Java House, for dinner. We are all so excited for what God has planned for us for these next couple of days that we will be spending with the widows at the empowerment center.
