The greatest part of today for me was getting to be in community with team members and share this incredible experience. God’s majesty was everywhere: The team bonding, the beautiful landscape, and the amazing animals. Today was truly a day where the Lord showed us how mighty He is.

Day 6 - MASAI MARA
Our second day at the Mara started before before the sun was even up. Our team met our safari drivers – John and Charles – for coffee, tea, and good conversation at 6 a.m.
After our beverages were done, we started on our sunrise safari. The sky was covered in pink, orange, and blue that made a beautiful canvas to convey God’s glory. I don’t think there could have been a prettier sight to start our day off.
As we rode around the Mara, we saw a rhino, a hippo, zebra, female lions, and lots of elephants. Our safari guides were amazing at finding the animals and getting us as close as possible to see the amazing creatures.
Around 9:30 a.m., we headed back to the safari lodge for a team breakfast and some relaxing time. The next couple hours were spent laying out by the pool overlooking the spectacular view of the Mara. We shared about our favorite parts of the safari so far, and what we were hoping to see on our last ride around.
After a late lunch, we loaded the vans again and headed out. On our last ride around, we got to go to a river where we saw incredible hippos and crocodiles. On the rest of the ride, we saw ostriches and an entire family of lions, with the cutest cubs you have ever seen!
After heading back to the lodge, we all went to dinner, and chatted about the day.
Every animal we saw was amazing to see and we were told it was incredible that we had seen so many great animals in just our 2 short days. Not many groups have that much luck.
But the greatest part of today for me was getting to be in community with team members and share this incredible experience. God’s majesty was everywhere: The team bonding, the beautiful landscape, and the amazing animals. Today was truly a day where the Lord showed us how mighty He is.
